I’ve been a nearly life-long photographer.

The programs and services I offer through the Moxie Sisterhood is an evolution of my 30-year career as a professional photographer.

As I have grown the Moxie Sisterhood and been privileged to coach and photograph fabulous women with Moxie, I have rediscovered my passion for devotional, contemplative photography.

This type of photography beautifully compliments the portraits and coaching that equip and inspire Moxie women to Be Seen and Shine On and is a beautiful practice in many respects.

My interest in contemplative, devotional photography results from years of hearing women talking about how much they hate to have their photo taken or what they don’t like about themselves. They often go on to say they don’t have a nice smile or simply that they take a bad photo. Other times women will insist on being (hidden) in the back of a group photo or refuse to be in a photograph at all.

Hearing women say these things breaks my heart because I have been in that same place and results from not seeing ourselves as others do, or more importantly, as God sees us and created us.

Last year, God brought me the idea for the LifeVision Journey Experiences, the blend of storytelling portrait photography, coaching, and faith. And now there’s more!

During 2020 I’ve shared devotional, contemplative photographs to illustrate an accompanying message in weekly devotional emails, memes, and other social media posts.

A photograph can extend beyond illustrating a thought or story, but as a way of deepening your relationship with God, personal reflection, prayerful meditation, and more.

Deciding just how to introduce this as a part of the Moxie Sisterhood is exciting. It adds depth and an excellent tool to the Life Vision Journey program and as a program of its own.

The practice of contemplative, devotional photographs and methods offer

  • Seeing God and his handiwork in you and the world around you and its details
  • An expression of joy, healing, and worship
  • A practice of meditation on God’s Word
  • Inspiration to create personal devotional images
  • A way to transform how you see yourself and your life story

So, this is me, excited to introduce this new dimension to you, my Moxie Sister!

You will begin to see more devotional photographs, discussion about creating your own, resources, articles, and programs to inspire and equip you to Be Seen and Shine On
